Heading to the end of the academic year, Digital Math Contest was held in Indonesia. Involving a total 759 students from 50 schools for two preliminary rounds in April and May, selected students proceeded to the Grand Final in June. The event became the place where students gathered and demonstrated their accumulation of learning.

“Digital Math Contest -Japan Math Method” was held in Sri Lanka in January 2021. The event offered the opportunity for students to demonstrate their ability and also touch Japanese culture during the pandemic.

The seminar “Future Classroom: How school education need to change with/after COVID-19” was held online in Indonesia on 16 January 2021, Indonesia. Inviting experts from both academia and private sectors, the seminar introduced innovation in education and new ways of learning to participants.

The seminar “The “New Normal” of School Education with and after Covid-19” was held on January 9, 2021, in Iloilo city, the Philippines. Education experts from the Philippines and Japan shared the expertise on introducing technology in education and how to support students’ learning during the pandemic.

Inviting students in Indonesia and the Philippines, “Surala International Digital Math Contest” was held on December 19, 2020.  Students from two countries demonstrated their mathematics ability developed through learning Surala even during the school closure. 

The seminar “How schools need to change with/after COVID-19” was held on December 9 and 16, 2020, in Sri Lanka. Inviting minitries related to education from Sri Lanka and Japan, the event presented how to continue learning in the crisis by leveraging technology.
