EdTech Seminar in Indonesia: Sharing expertise to continue to learn during the pandemic

The seminar “Future Classroom: How school education need to change with/after COVID-19” was held online in Indonesia on 16 January 2021, Indonesia. Inviting experts from both academia and private sectors, the seminar introduced innovation in education and new ways of learning to participants.

180 participants from various places in Indonesia joined the event to learn about how technology can change learning in Japan and in Indonesia.

  4. Trends of the digital learning in Japan and world under COVID-19 (Mr. Takahiko Yunokawa – CEO SuRaLa.Net., Co.Ltd, Japan)

First, Mr. Asano from the Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry, Japan, presented initiatives in Japan to transform learning with technology. Dr. Rahmawati and Mr. Obert explained the challenges of education in Indonesia and how technology can enhance students’ learning. As an example of the use of technology, SuRaLa Net introduced the learning achievements in Japan and Indonesia during the pandemic. The data demonstrated that use of ICT in education supports the continuation of learning and students can raise their ability independently at home during the school closure.

The event introduced not only the methods of continuation of learning but also innovation in learning for the new era to participants. We will continue to support the enhancement of learning with technology by organizing events to share new knowledge in education.
